Tendon Injury and Repair

Injuries to both the extensor and flexor tendons are a relatively common occurrence. Lacerations of these tendons can be simple or complex, depending on which (if any) surrounding structures are affected.

Surgical treatment (tendon laceration repair) involves treatment of the wound, suturing of the lacerated tendon and postoperative rehabilitation.
